These sessions can support the wellbeing topics for Key Stages 1-3 and the PSHE Curriculum (Health and Wellbeing) for primary and secondary schools.
The sound sessions are an adaptable resource which can include the following elements:
Soundbath session - experience a soundbath and develop an understanding of why the sounds are therapeutic.
Sound and resonance: Listening through the senses. This session explores multi-sensory ways of listening which can be therapeutic as well as creating a greater level of personal awareness which can help with personal development and empathy towards others.
Sound workshops using a range of instruments (voice, gongs, drums and singing bowls) to create a practical understanding of how therapeutic sound works.
Drum circle session: a lively and invigorating session using frame drums for up to 15 students at a time. These sessions explore different rhythms and their therapeutic effects, along with the excitement of playing improvised sessions together in a group.
