Archaeoacoustics and Modern Sound Therapy

We have been using sound to create altered states of consciousness for thousands of years and recent archaeological findings provide exciting evidence that can link the past to the modern techniques used in sound therapy.

Sound and Prehistoric Monuments

Archaeological research over the last few decades has revealed that prehistoric monuments exhibit common sonic characteristics which would have been understood and used by the builders in ceremonies and rituals.

My own research has combined this evidence with modern sound therapy and this has made some stunning and compelling connections with the use of sound in the past and the relevance it has for us in the present and future.

I can provide group talks and lectures on this subject for a wide range of audiences from museums to schools. Please contact me if you would like to find out more.
